SKILLED CALIBRATION ENGINEER (UKAS Dimensional Lab)

PAY
£ negotiable (depending on experience)

THE WORK
Based mainly within our UKAS Dimensional Laboratory, but also possibly occasionally at customers premises, you will be calibrating a wide range of measuring equipment including Dial Gauges, Gauge Blocks, Micrometers, Screw Gauges etc.

QUALIFICATIONS
Ideally we are looking for HNC or BTEC Higher (Mechanical/Production Engineering). Older applicants may have City and Guilds or ONC.

ABOUT YOU
We are looking for extensive experience within a dimensional calibration laboratory (preferably a UKAS accredited laboratory). Strong practical / technical skills with a natural aptitude and interest in practical things.

Resourseful - You have the ability and interest to be able to solve problems and generally figure things out.

Strong work ethic.

Well organised, methodical, and with exceptional attention to detail.

Clear and legible hand writing.

You should also be prepared to work extra hours at times to meet customer deadlines.

Full UK driving license (car) would be an advantage.

TRAINING
Some in-house training will be provided but if you are not already very experienced and confident in dimensional calibration you would be better applying for one our trainee positions.
